Our Timber Management division offers experienced and professional logging services which include timber falling, yarding, loading and hauling.  If you are a small woodland land owner, we are also exprienced in marketing your timber in addition to our logging services.  We are just as experienced in building logging roads.  We pride ourselves in our ability to work efficiently, with the utmost respect for the environment and the people we work for, with and around.

Our Land Development division offers professional civil construction services which include, but are not limited to: earthwork, street construction, residential subdivisions, and commercial site development. We are experienced in start to finish site development which includes; clearing and grubbing, street and lot excavation, water, sewer, storm & utilities installation, curbs and paving.  No job is too big or too small. See our Work Completed page or our References page for more information.

History of our company:

Basco Logging, Inc. based in Sutherlin, originated from Sabala Logging, which was founded in 1948 by Bonifacio Yraguen, Chris Sabala and Domingo Sabala.  A D-4 cat and an A-Frame loader were about the sum total of their start.  In 1950 they purchased two TD18 tractors and their first yarder which was a Marine Hoist.  By 1968 an Edco spar and truck mount shovel were added to the Company's equipment to meet the increasing supply of work.  On October 1, 1971 Bonifacio bought out Sabala brothers’ and renamed the company Basco Logging, Inc. (After the Basque people in Spain, his family's heritage).  Nick, Jaime and Juan (Bonifacio's sons) took control of the Company by buying out their Dad in 1985 and have run the company since.  Today, Basco Logging, Inc. has the capacity to run 3 logging sides, a full construction side, and log and dump truck hauling.  Average production per year is 30 MMBF. The number of Employees varies from 20 to 30.
